Covet’s Ever Art Wood® timber look Koshi battens allow designer, Ignite Architects, realise their vision for the facade of Lanzhou’s flagship store in Chadstone, Victoria.

Lanzhou’s first flagship store has recently been opened at Chadstone, Melbourne’s largest and most luxurious Shopping precincts. The undulating, tube shaped timber look battens across the front of the facade are a nod to the venue’s signature dish - authentic beef noodles, adding interest and movement to the venue’s exterior.

While the impact is striking, the installation was made simple using Ever Art Wood® Koshi hollow section aluminium battens. The lightweight battens were supplied prefinished with a textured timber look wrap and cut to length. Ceiling battens were mounted to curved supports, and battens of staggered lengths creating a ripple effect line the perimeter of the outdoor seating area.

Vacuum sealed end caps featuring the same realistic timber look polymer wrap as the battens were chosen to finish the ends of each section, adding to the realism of the timber look.
