A spectacular statement piece, the lobby entrance to new apartment development - Spectrum Apartments, in Box Hill is clad in fire rated Ever Art Wood®.
Designed by KUD, and developed by Shangyi Property, the building makes a bold, contemporary statement.
The designer selected the Covet aluminium cladding system made by Takasho Japan. The battens 2-section ‘Kabebari’ system designed for ease of installation and concealed fixings was pre-cut from shop drawings in Japan and involved over 600 battens.
The designers and client were drawn to the fire rating (AS/NZ 3837 - group 1), realistic timber aesthetic, precision and low maintenance aspect of the material.
