New Argentinean restaurant in Southbank, Asado, showcases the stunning results that can be achieved with Covet’s unique, 10mm real concrete terrazzo overlay.
Describing itself as “part newbie, part traditional asador”, Asado Restaurant has a vibrant and distinct ambience. Designer Ewert Leaf delivered an old world feel and sense of intimacy and warmth, using luscious green hues, natural materials and raw textures.
A perfect canvas for the space, the terrazzo overlay was poured in-situ in a custom light base concrete colour with 6mm Keyneton Green Epidote aggregate. The brassy tones of the aggregate marry perfectly with the brass embellishments used throughout the space to create a harmony between design and material.
The seamless transition between carpet and concrete made possible by Covet’s unique concrete overlay, poured in-situ, with a finished height of 10mm. Such a feat not possible by polishing a concrete slab.
The centrepiece in brass, the restaurant name embedded within the concrete - skilfully installed by Refined Floor Care.
